So here is my deviantART story ;w;
I don't really know where to start so I'll just start at the beginning.

I got my deviantART account three years ago. I heard about it from friends and I wanted to try it out. At first I really didn't get the site partly because my native language is Dutch and partly because I never used much social media at that time (I didn't even have facebook :'D). So for about a month I just left DA for what it was. I managed to try it again and posted my first drawing:A fairy's Tale. by RiddleMaker
I lined the drawing first on paper then I scanned it and then I coloured it with photoshop. This was one of the first drawings I coloured with the pc. I draw manga since 2008 and that was all bad pencil drawings and mostly copying from already excisting drawings :'D.
After posting my first drawing online I got the taste of it and posted something almost everyday. The best drawing I made back then was lined in photoshop instead of it being lined and than scanned with my scannerAkina by RiddleMaker
This was also one of my first OC's whom I still have until today. I don't really draw much of my OC's but back then I LOVED this one. her name is Akina and she was part flower part human. The idea that Iwas able to create my own characters interested me so much that I made a lot of them at once most of them with tragic backstories because yea, what's a good OC without his cliche backstory |D..
I started drawing more and more on the computer without scanning the drawings first and eventually I discovered Paint Tool SAI through a Dutch community site called Hyves.Love and let Love by RiddleMaker

My style changed a lot and my sence of anatomy got slightly better. I preferred to draw on the computer because you could easily alter things and the result was prettier in my eyes. Since then I changed my style lots of times and practiced and practiced. I kind of left my OC's for what they were and drew more fanart because I got more views that way. I was busier with school and I stuck more time in my drawings. that way I couldn't post everyday anymore and I lost views while my art kept getting better.When The Guardians Are Not There.. by RiddleMaker
This is one of my personal favourites and the drawing which probably has the most views in my whole gallery. It still gets some favourites form time to time. I practiced a lot with SAI and didn't really use photoshop anymore because SAI was just so much more preferable. I had A LOT of ideas to work out but I just didn't have the time nor knowledge not skills to make them and that frustrated me. I made less and less and after visiting an art academy I stopped allthogeter. They didn't like my manga art and thought of it as childish. they did see my potentional in my non manga drawings but that was a very small amount. ever since then I have been busy drawing more non manga and deviantart wasn't a priority anymore. Right now I regret stopping just like that because it did affect my skills in drawing manga and partly I also regret because drawing manga is what I love to do. I'm trying to get back to where I left of but that's quite the challenge. I do find joy in drawing non manga but not as much as I used to.Effie Trinket by RiddleMaker
I made this drawing but when I finished it it didn't give me the satisfaction as a digital manga drawing. Ofcourse I will go on with everything and I will try to post more drawings again because I regret my actions and the ease it took to give up on manga. I won't let that happen again.

So here's a tip from me to all of you guys out there: Do what you love to do and don't stop just because someone dousn't like it. You make art because you like to do it. There should be no one to stop you from doing what you love!
